mcpssTV
Mobile County Public Schools operates its own 24-hour channel, mcpssTV, which is available on Comcast (channel 15), AT&T U-verse (channel 99), Mediacom (channel 81), Roku boxes and online. You may also access our videos on youtube.com/mcpssTV.
Our crew broadcasts all high school graduation ceremonies live, as well as sporting events, including the mcpssTV High School Football Game of the Week, volleyball and basketball. We also film academic competitions, such as the Mobile County Spelling Bee, HiQ matches, and the mcpssTV Brain Bowl, as well as fine arts performances, the annual Learning Leading Awards, and the annual Teacher of the Year Luncheon.
Meetings of the Mobile County Board of School Commissioners are broadcast live, and work sessions are recorded and uploaded to the YouTube channel.
Other shows include "Homeroom," a talk show hosted by Rena Philips, which introduces viewers to the students and the educators who make MCPSS great; the Learning Leading Now podcast; and Inside Education. Viewers may learn to speak Spanish with MCPSS Spanish teachers on "Ay, Caray (Let’s Learn Spanish)" and to create art with our teachers on "Art Today."
